The reason why Shakira undertook such unusual moves now seeming apparent! The internationally known Colombian pop singer is dating Barcelona FC footballer Gerard Pique.
Shakira and Gerard Pique have been recently photographed hand-in-hand when the pair went to dine at a restaurant in Barcelona. The picture of Skaria holding hand with Pique can be found here on Facebook. And the uploader even marvelled “what a couple” in Spanish.
Shakira, 34, who has a hit Hips Don’t Lie, and Pique, 24, ten years of her junior, first met in early 2010 when he appeared as one of several ballers during shooting her video of 2010 FIFA World Cup official song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).
Since then, rumor mills speculated Shakira and Pique are in a romantic relationship but they denied and insisted they are “nothing more than friends.”
Monday (Feb/21/11), the inseparable couple spotted together at El Prat Barcelona airport as they took flight to fly out Barcelona.
