Newborn Eyptian Girl Named Facebook!

We heard that a baby boy was named as Google after the world’s most popular search engine by his father years ago. Recent news reported that a newly born baby girl in Egypt is named as Facebook by her father. Apparently, not like the aforementioned boy Google’s father, Egyptian dad Jamal Ibrahim is not a geek. Mr. Ibrahim named his daughter after the world’s most visited social networking site simply in honour of Facebook.com played in his country’s recent revolution against the rule of (now former) President Hosni Mubarak.

When surfing the internet on the computer, many users like to launch a link in a new tab by right clicking the mouse in order to keep the current webpage open.

Apparently, the same way is not applicable to the Apple’s iOS devices as iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad is the touchscreen gadget.

No worries! Apple has built the feature of opening a link in a new page into its Safari for iOS. What one needs to do is that he/she taps the link for 2 seconds and then touch Open in New Page when prompted. That’s easy!

For example, I want to open the post of Download/Install QQ for Mac on a Mac published yesterday in a new page when on the homepage. I tapped the hyper-linked title for seconds until the prompt popped up and then tap Open in New Page. See the screenprints above.

QQ for Mac is an instant messager client by Chinese internet giant Tencent Inc. for the ever-growing Mac users who need the service.

QQ for Mac 1 Beta
As of Feb. 20, the installed QQ for Mac after a download is still in Ver. 1.0 Beta2 (build 676)

But apparently, the development of QQ for Mac is far behind its counterpart on Windows computers. It was first launched in the second half of 2008 and until today its download-able installation is still a beta version, specifically, QQ for Mac 1.0 Beta 2(676) , which was released in January 2011.
