Guys,

Been a Vaio Fan ever since. Now i am almost certain to switch into Macbook Pro 2011…but damn almost all threads pertaining to heat problem say the same. To be honest this is my draw back.

Its not just loud, but the fan is very loud. If you try watching a video in the library, people will look at you and stare at you. Yes its that loud.
Disappointing.

I have a late 2008 MacBook aluminum unibody (it has the shape of the most recent Macbook Pro but with no “Pro” written on the bottom side of the display.

My highest temp is around 87°C, even when I open and run Transmission (which many people say that it makes the machine work harder). I was planning to buy the 2011 macbook pro, but after reading this, I’m not sure anymore.

Well, I had a mid 2009 MacBook Pro and that one also heated up to 90 degrees when using such apps. So it has been like that for a while…
