Kek Lok Si, or Temple of Supreme Bliss, is the most famous Buddhism temple located in the Penang state of Malaysia. The 100+ years old temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia and a must-see for many visitors to the Penang Island.
Kek Lol Si is open for the public all the year around but Chinese Lunar New Year should be the best time to visit because during this time hundreds of thousands of twilights are decorating the temple which once received the blisses of the Emperor Guangxu and Empress Cixi of the Qing Dynasty for the whole month at night.
On the fourteenth day of this Chinese New Year I had a chance to make a visit. Equipped my Nikon D90 with Nikkor 24-70/F2.8 and Tokina 11-16/F2.8 lenses, I photographed this fabulous Buddhism monastery.
Now I’d like to release those pictures under Creative Commons Share Alike 3.0 License, which means everyone can re-use/re-mix them without paying a penny so long as he/she gives some credits to this site if interested.
So here you go, enjoying Kek Lok Si Temple Chinese New Year night lights photos!
